Modern Upscaling and Remastering
Some images aren’t suited for canvas yet. With modern upscaling and remastering techniques, we are capable of increasing the fidelity of old photographs to a new standard, one that allows us to print old photographs in large format for the first time while retaining a usable and high standard of visual quality.
Far too many photographs have been lost to time whether it be by wrinkles on the page, staining, sun bleaching, or, because of something else which has become all too common…the loss of resolution via poor record keeping. There are as many ways to reduce the quality of a photograph as there are photographs, or so it would seem some days.
Once information has been removed from a photograph, information has to be put back in to return resolution. Though labour intensive the techniques involved in this process create extremely high resolution artwork bringing old photographs and artwork to the modern day in a whole new light!
